Body Shop Painter / Prepper 2nd Shift - Milwaukee

Purpose

Complete the preparation and painting process on repaired vehicles.  

Accountabilities
  1. Sand and Prep panels for priming and painting.
  2. Finish mask panels and trim for paint applications
  3. Perform minor body work and repairs
  4. Assemble and disassemble vehicles in preparation for repair and painting.
  5. Mix paint according to specifications
  6. Apply paint in prescribed manner utilizing provided painting equipment.
  7. Inspect painted unit for quality of painting, including runs, streaks, sags, and unpainted areas
  8. Assure maintenance and cleaning of painting equipment and booth are completed.
  9. Perform other related body shop operations on medium and heavy duty trucks as needed
  10. Other Duties as assigned.
Skill, Training and Education Requirements and Preferences
  1. Knowledge of truck repair and maintenance
  2. Valid driver’s license
  3. Good Judgment
  4. Ability to use hand and power tools
  5. Experience with spray application of Sikkens paints required
  6. Manual Dexterity
  7. Customer focused
  8. Must be able to wear respirator equipment
Physical Requirements

Will lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds.

Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding position. Employee will stand 6-8 hours per day while bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, paint and cleaning solutions, as well as other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
