Diesel Technician Apprentice

The Diesel Technician Apprentice / Shop Helper is responsible for assisting technicians with minor repairs. They will assist with shop housekeeping to ensure the shop remains clean and orderly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform minor repairs within the designated flat rates. Maintain a 95% or greater efficiency rating
• Assist Maintenance Manager and clerical staff in completing necessary paperwork
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment as requested by written schedules
• Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping and taking out trash to keep equipment and facilities sanitary.
• Develop required skills to be a qualified, certified state inspector

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to lift up to 75lbs and carry a distance of 5 feet.
• Valid Drivers License or the ability to obtain one
• High School diploma or equivalent plus special technical training is desired
